Ivana obtained her Esthetics Diploma from Niagara College, Canada as well as a Certificate in Laser and Advanced Skin Care Treatments and has been practicing Esthetics for over 10 years. A few years later, Ivana ventured into Toronto where she pursued a full time teaching position as an Esthetics Instructor at a Private Career College where she gained a foundation for strong leadership and interpersonal skills to then pass on to other professionals within the industry. Ivana is now our Director of Education & teaches part time in the Medical Aesthetics Program at Eden College and couldn’t be happier to be part of such a dynamic team! Ivana loves this career because she can not only mentor and teach students about this evolving industry but also enables her to pass on her knowledge and strong dedication and motivation to students.

Hello, my name is Laura. I’m the hairstyling instructor at Eden College Hair and Spa in Bolton, Ont. I’ve been in the hair industry for 30 years.

I’ve wanted to be a hairstylist for as long as I can remember. I had 2 aunts (Elda & Luciana) in the industry & was influenced by them. I especially love cutting hair, changing people’s feelings about themselves. Now I get to teach what I love, and pass on my knowledge and experience to my eager students.

After graduating at the top of her class in 2001 and receiving her esthetics diploma, Monica began her career as an esthetician.

Working in multiple day spas, becoming a spa manager and eventually a spa owner in one of Toronto’s most prestigious communities, Yonge and Eglinton.

With a passion for the industry and a love of people, Monica took her next step in her journey and entered into the education field.Presented with the opportunity to start an Esthetics Program for a private career college she took the plunge and has loved passing on her expertise and knowledge to her students ever since!

Meet Sarah, our Medical Aesthetics instructor. After completing her diploma studies in Medical Aesthetics, Sarah went on to further her education by completing certificates in gel nails, acrylic nails, eyelash extensions and microblading. With an eclectic range of expertise, a passion for the industry and warm personality, Sarah welcomes students of all ages and provides an exceptional education leaving her students confident and prepared to enter the work force.

 

 

 

 

 

Deanna Surbek

Deanna Surbek

Makeup Instructor

Deanna has enjoyed success in the Makeup Industry as an artist, manager and through countless years of freelance hours in this exciting trade. Her passion and creativity lead her to obtain a Diploma in Cosmetic Techniques and Management from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. Through this program, Deanna graduated with Honours and received an award for Excellence in Portfolio Development and Design.

Upon graduating from Sheridan College,Deanna gained a lot of expertise in the industry through working for M.A.C. Cosmetics. While there, she took on a leadership role as a member of the management team for the majority of her time with the company. Deanna also obtained certifications through M.A.C. To perform demos, teach lessons, and apply makeup for runway and fashion shows. Through her career at M.A.C. she gained a foundation to motivate and direct others, and gained strong interpersonal, theoretical, practical and creative skills while keeping up with industry standards and trends.

“At the end of the day I truly hope that students are inspired to get creative, take artistic risks and ask questions. I want the students to thrive in all aspects of what the diverse makeup industry is all about including getting passionate about makeup, empowering and supporting each other, and learning the interpersonal skills to be successful and professional in this exciting industry.”
